North Tyneside EYSIS are pleased to announce our second SEMH conference “Going the Extra Mile 2” on Friday 16th November 2018. The event will take place at the Langdale Centre, Langdale Gardens, Wallsend, North Tyneside, NE28 OHG

Building self-belief and self-regulation is vital if pupils are to thrive both in all phases of their school life and in their communities, not just survive. The conference is a unique opportunity to access a wide range of North Tyneside LA expertise, practical advice and share best practice from local schools.

One of North Tyneside Council’s key pledges is to work with partners to keep children in school. This event enables school leaders to access workshops which develop understanding of more complex SEMH issues, to consider an engaging and active curriculum and to offer a range of strategies to support pupils to fulfil their potential.

The wide range of workshops enables schools to build their own programme to focus on their priorities; from managing behaviour in early years to identifying literacy barriers, from developing an engaging curriculum to dealing with adverse impact of childhood experiences, from restorative strategies to positive working with families….
